How do you change to 2 menu page display in Oxygen theme and remove 'categories'

  Can someone please help with the below questions specific to the Oxygen theme?

  1. I need help switching to a 2 menu display on pages instead of 3. I would like to remove the left menu bar where ‘categories’ & ‘archives’ is and just have the slideshow and text fill with facebook widget as is on right and menu bar on top as is.

  ‘Front Page’ is not an option in my drop down menu when I am under ‘Attributes’ while editing home page- only default which is 3 menu bars, Full width page (which eliminates widgets on right), or Showcase page which empties all the content

  2. how to remove the ‘leave a reply’ option and only select it for certain pages?

  3. how to remove black background on slideshow picture media on my home page?

  I am just using the free version and a bit of a newb to this all so please bear with me and thanks in advance for any tips you can offer!
