  how do you cite your own image?

  Hi there. Do you mean a label that appears directly below the image when you insert it? While inserting the image, look for the Caption box. You can type your label there. For already inserted images, click the image in the post editor and click the pencil icon in the pop-up. That will bring up an editing window which contains the caption box.
