How do you clean a blog site after being hacked
-
My friends wordpress site looks to be hacked. This is not self hosted, but hosted by wordpress.com under her specific domain (ittakesavalium.com). The issue is any link from facebook will be redirected to some other site. There seems to be specific php or js code (maybe an encrypted eval function) to her site. Is there a way to reset/clean a blog to be sure that any php or javascript is what it should be (like creating a new blog from scratch). I can definitely see extraneous code in footer.php, but along with that is a bunch of encoded evals, like eval(base64_decode(…). What does a standard footer.php look like, what does a standard header.php. Is there a standard way to clean this up. I’ve done backups for her, so I can re-import all of the content, but we don’t want to lose the blog settings (i.e., name, domain mapping) by deleting it. Hope someone can help

Your friends site it actually on Dream Host
The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
