How do you connect articles to the front page, as well as categories?

  I want to have articles that appear on the front page, as well as other categories on the website. For example, if I categorize an article as “sports,” then I want it to appear on the front page, as well as the sports category on our website.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
