How do you create a heading in the new block oriented editor?

In the old editor, you could click on a line of text and change it to any heading, or from heading back to normal text. I cant find any way to do this with the block system. If you click on your line of text, you get options to set the justification, text colour, strikethough, bold etc, but the option to set it to heading 1 or similar seems to be missing.

You can convert a paragraph block into a heading block (among other things).
Click on your paragraph, then click the paragraph symbol on the block toolbar:
