How do you create a widget with a drop down menu in it?

    I am trying to create/edit a sidebar widget with a drop down menu attached. The heading of the widget is countries (which seems to be easy to create) and so does the ‘drop down menu’ option under it. However adding ‘categories’ within this drop down menu is beyond me. Where is the option to do it?

    If you already have this document, and are getting stuck during a certain step, let me know and I can talk you through it.

    Here are a couple helpful hints:

    1. The categories must be created first. They can be added to the menu afterward.

    2. Posts must be assigned to your categories, before the categories are visible in your menu.
