How do you delete a category?

I accidentally didn’t capitalize one, and it looks weird. How can I delete it?

You can manage your categories through the wp-admin dashboard – you can delete it or edit it to capitalize it.
You get there by just adding /wp-admin to your site address like this:

Thank you so much. That worked! Sort of. The category now exists, capitalized properly. But it does not appear in my Category drop down menu on my home page. (The category is Recipes.) I tried “Un-displaying” the categories, and then displaying them again, but it’s still absent.

Do you have any posts under the category?
In the documentation in the Categories widget, it says
“Note: Only categories that are attached to posts will be displayed in the widget.”And when I put in the URL for the category it returns a message – “It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.”
Make sure you actually assign that category to a post and see if your Categories Dropdown changes.

Ah, that’s probably it. I do have a post assigned, but it’s still in the pending queue. I guess I’ll have my answer tomorrow! Thanks so much!
