how do you delete 'leave comment box' using css
-
Hi,
I’m really stuck at using the css, I want to delete the ‘ leave comment box’ . I have already unchecked the discussion boxes, so think I need to delete the leave a comment thing, or put in some code to hide it.
So far I have tried:
footer.entry-meta {visibility: hidden;}
.entry-meta{
.display: none;
}
Please help!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Why bother with CSS editing?
All WordPress blogs by default have comments open on all Pages and Posts. Your visitors click the post tiles or the comment links or comment bubbles on the front page of the blog and they are directed to the full post appearing on it’s own page where the comment boxes appear at the end of the posts.
You can enable and disable comments on free hosted WordPress.com blogs on this page > Settings > Discussion Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/You can override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any individual post or page.

You can reveal it by clicking on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page, and checking the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

Ok thanks!
Gone on these help pages. On ‘discussion’ I’d unchecked most boxes already, the thing I really want to get rid of is the ‘Comment Form, Prompt, Leave a Reply’ right at the bottom.
Also, sorry I couldn’t find the screen options thing? I went to top right hand and new post…
Thanks so much for your help

Go to the post or a page that is relevant and then click on Screen Options http://en.support.wordpress.com/screen-options/ on the top right corner of your Admin page. That is where you check the box that says Discussion so the module is included. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules

I found the screen options on dashboard… but didnt find the tags etc, did uncheck stats though

I did it! i found the screen options for the page and unclicked everything, but the ‘leave a reply’ box is still there!

Okay now you can try clearing your browser cache so you are 100% sure your are not viewing an older cached copy. http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
If that does not work then you will need to post the URL of the exact post or page you cannot succeed disabling the comments on. Then Staff will do it for you.

My friend just looked at it on her browser and it was still there. Thanks, that would be so great great…
The page is https://stephanienorgate.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=3&action=edit. but it would be great if this box never appeared again on any post or page.
Or this

I would like to help you learn how to do this so it’s clear and you won’t have the problem for other pages in the future.
Let’s walk through it again, but step by step:
1. Open the page for editing
2. Find the Discussion module on that page, it should be somewhere below the main edit area. It looks like this: https://cloudup.com/cJ57TgWmnFG
3. Uncheck both of the checkboxes in the Discussion module
4. Click the “Update” button for the page to save the change
I think if you went through the steps before and unchecked things, maybe you didn’t get to the fourth step where the change was saved? Anyway, try it out and let me know if you get stuck on any of the steps.
