How do you display the post slider on the front page?
-
I’m using the Oxygen theme and I want to display featured posts in the post slider on the home page. I’ve read the theme’s directions for this, but it’s still not working. I want my blog to look like the accompanying image for the theme… with the slider at the top and recent posts at the bottom. Help please! I understand that you have to make certain posts “sticky” but when I did that it just displayed those posts near the top, but not in a slider.

Yes, I have another question. I’ve tried to set up certain posts to go on the slider. I went through the same process as the ones that are on it now…
1. Set post as “sticky”
2. Set a featured image
3. Make sure it fits the required parametersBut when I save all of that and check the homepage… it’s not there on the slider. HELP! staff-blorbo

It looks like the chosen Featured Image is not wide enough. It needs to be at least 750 pixels wide to appear.
Post thumbnails are 470 pixels wide, unless you make the post Sticky to show off in the featured slider, in which case they’re 750 pixels wide. Keep in mind: if you mark a post as Sticky but the featured image is less than 750 pixels wide, then it won’t display in the slider and will still disappear from the river of posts.
