How do you get display-posts tag="xxx" to work?

    I can’t get display-posts tag=”xxx” to work. I wanted to change from using a category to a tag so I created a tag with the identical name as the category – in this example it would be xxx in both cases. I tagged all the posts that had the category xxx with the tag xxx and then changed the line display-posts category=”xxx” to display-posts tag=”xxx” but nothing is displayed when I use tags whereas it works as advertised with categories.
