Hi @linkxpeach,
Good questions! I can guide you with that.
WordAds isn’t a plugin — it’s a built-in monetization feature for eligible WordPress.com paid plans, including your Business plan. To enable it:- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Tools → Monetize (or Jetpack → Monetize if using WP Admin).
- Click the “Earn ad revenue” button.
- Click the “Join WordAds” button on the Settings tab:
You do need to have an eligible plan (Premium, Business, or Commerce) to use WordAds, which you already have. Once enabled, your site may go through a short review before ads appear.
For full details, check the documentation:

I can’t find the Earn Ad Revenue under Tools>Monetize on the Dashboard for WordAds. My site is called lxpgaming.blog instead of lxpgaming.com. Sorry, for double posting. I try to go to Earn Ad Revenue, but it didn’t worked.

Hi @linkxpeach,
Since you’re on the Business plan, you should have access to WordAds — but it’s possible the interface you’re seeing is different.
To help us get a better idea, could you please send me a screenshot of what you see when you go to Tools > Monetize? Here’s how to take a screenshot:
https://wordpress.com/support/make-a-screenshot/Also, could you try locating Earn ad revenue within Jetpack → Monetize if you are using WP Admin?
You can change the interface style with these steps: https://wordpress.com/support/set-your-admin-interface-style/?g.#choose-your-interface-style
Let me know if setting a different interface works or send the screenshot to show what you see on your side.

Hi @linkxpeach,
Great! I see that you have Word Ads active on your site.
Please bear in mind that ads may not be displayed for every page load and for every user due to differences in the way advertisers bid for ad placements. This means that not every page on every site with WordAds running will show an ad.
To understand how WordAds work and how they are displayed, check this guide for reference: https://wordpress.com/support/wordads-and-earn/#ad-content

When I go to Tools, it doesn’t show Monetize. I had to go to Jetpack>Monetize. I can’t find Ads Visibility.

Hi @linkxpeach,
Yes! In your case, you are using the WP Admin interface. To locate the Word Ads options, go to Jetpack → Monetize.
Inside Monetize, you should see Ads, and within Ads, there is an option that says Settings.
Below that, a menu called Ads Settings should open, where you can set up the visibility.

From previous notes, I see that you usually use WordPress.com on a browser on an Android tablet. The options may be slightly different there. If so, could you share a screenshot of what you see? Or, if possible, check those options on a laptop or desktop?
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the screenshot @linkxpeach,
I reviewed this a bit further and found that If you have a plugin-enabled site (like yours), these options will not appear. Instead, enable ads by clicking “Enable ads and display an ad below each post.“ as in the screenshot you shared. You can then customize where ads are displayed by enabling or disabling ads on the front page (i.e., your site’s homepage), posts, pages, and archives (i.e., category pages, tag pages, and time-based groupings of posts.)
Let me know if that helps. -

Good question @linkxpeach,
Since your site is plugin-enabled , the “Ads Visibility” option isn’t available even in desktop, and you won’t need to use it. Instead, you can manage ads in the Ads settings menu and unchecking “Enable ads and display an ad below each post” if you’d like to pause them.
Let me know if you have any other question.

What do I do now to make money using WordAds? Do I still need to connect a Stripe account?
-
-
Hi there @linkxpeach!
1. Do you still need to connect Stripe?
No, Payments are made to the PayPal account you have saved in your ad settings2. How can you track your stats and earnings?
You can follow your ad performance by going to Jetpack → Stats It might take a little time for stats to show after enabling. Payments are issued monthly if you reach the minimum threshold. See more details here: How Earnings Are Calculated3. Are ads appearing?
You’ve recently enabled WordAds for the first time (give it time for ads to appear).
As the site owner, keep in mind that you may not see an ad at all. Site owners often visit their own websites many times per day, but advertisers do not want to reach the site owner — they want to reach the website’s visitors. Therefore, it’s common for site owners to see no ads even while ads are visible to other visitors. Check this guide for more info: https://wordpress.com/support/wordads-and-earn/#i-don-t-see-ads -
I unable to find, “connect a Stripe account to collect payments.” I assuming that I got a Stripe account already. How long does it takes for WordAds to appear? Once WordAds start appearing, will I get paid on WordPress?

@linkxpeach
If you already have a Stripe account connected, you won’t see that prompt again. You can verify that by going to Jetpack → Monetize > Payment settings and you should see something like this:
I apologize for the confusion. You can use PayPal to receive your payouts. How long does it takes for WordAds to appear? Once WordAds start appearing, will I get paid on WordPress?
Once Word Ads is activated, it can take up to 48 hours for ads to begin showing on your site. Ads will typically appear below posts or in other supported areas, depending on your theme and layout. You can view them more clearly by opening your site in an incognito/private browser window.
And yes! Earnings will start accumulating once ads are served on your site. Payouts happen through Stripe once your balance reaches the minimum threshold (usually $100 USD).
Let me know if you don’t see any ads after a couple of days — we’ll be happy to take a closer look! -

Why aren’t WordAds appearing on my site? I thought we enabled it to appear. It’s been 2 days.
