How do you get the install theme option?

  How do you get the install theme option? I would like to upload a theme I purchased and they all say select install a theme, but I don’t have that option under my “Appearances>Themes” menu.

  There is not FTP access and you cannot uplaod any third party theme into a free hosted WordPress.com blog.

  The only themes we can use are those found here > Appearance > Themes
  This is a multiuser blogging platform. All blogs wearing the same theme are using the same underlying template and we cannot access the underlying files and edit templates or themes. http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/editing-themes/

  Thanks for replying. So we have to purchase the “Custom Theme” & “Custom Domain” to upload 3rd party themes?

  No. Read this please > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  There is no upgrade that you can purchase from WordPress.com that provides FTP access and the ability to upload any third party themes.

  To use the theme you purchased you would have to gire a web host and set up a wordpress.org install.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely seaparate.
