How do you get the Subscription Widget on side bar?

    I’m new and, apologies in advance, this may be a stupid question but… I’m trying to get friends to subscribe to my blog yet, they can’t unless they are registered with wordpress themselves. I’ve looked around on “support” for answers and they just tell you to add the “subscription widget” to your side-bar…. I’ve yet to find instructions on HOW to do that? A little frustrated over here… can someone point me in the right direction? I’ve also been to wordpress.org but I still don’t get it????

    Drag and drop the subscriptions Widget into the Sidebar

    Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets >> then drag and drop the Widget into the Sidebar.
