How do you get WordPress to add a new category to their website?
-
I am new to this site. I have written 17 blogs; I write them every day. On one occasion I found myself on a WordPress site that had categories for the blogs. They were cooking, books, restaurants and so on. I would like to see you add a new category for my blog and other blogs. I would prefer you to have a category called Christian, for writers like myself, however, if that is too narrow for you you could call your category religion or spiritual. My writing is very good; it is inspirational, but it does not fit into any of your categories. I would also like to read blogs from other Christian writers like myself.

Because you are only a week-old wp.com blogger, I’d suggest that you work through this tutorial:
http://learn.wordpress.com/Re your question:
You add your own categories and tags:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/tags/The differences:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories-vs-tags/Then use widgets to allow your readers to find your posts in the various tags and categories:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/categories-widget/

http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/ -
The Tags and Categories that we bloggers use are reflected in the Topics pages. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/
To access the Topics pages from the dashboard go to your Reader http://wordpress.com/#!/read/ and then click “Explore Topics” http://wordpress.com/#!/read/topics/ -
Also note that you can find Christian blogs here at WordPress.com very easily by using Google search.
