How do you get WordPress to respond to Customer Support emails?
-
The only time the live Chat box appeared was when they were getting some form of payment? Outside of that, one response and then the support never followed up at all.
Its very simple:
I create a blog post
I publish blog
then I click on the view now page
Tells me page not found

As I understand it, you only get support if you have a paid plan. Your only resource for support is these forums, though they say that their support people (a.k.a. happiness engineers) do monitor the forums and provide answers.
So, you are new to blogging?
To get help from the forums you probably need to supply the URL of your blog. That way, people can check whether your home page is working and then take it from there and hopefully help you find a solution.

@chic7fdd1bc0778 Maybe a silly question but, have you set your site to Live?
After the initial setup of a new blog, there is an option to go live or remain unpublished, this is different from a Private site. You may still have your “Coming Soon” banner on display.
But as anzlitlovers mentioned, we cannot check without the associated URL.

Yes, only annual creator subs and above get live advice I believe, but they do offer support through email. They just haven’t responded to the inquires.
The site its set to live. The DNS servers are routed correctly. Domain states as active… I’ve got through a VPN, through a private model and various internet routing systems to test that the URL is up and running…so the site seems fine on that end…just unable to post.
I’ve done many websites before, but this is the 1st on WordPress…
I’m sure it’s gong to be a great product but its incredibly frustrating when customer support does not respond back for days. Then you get incredible live service when you upgrade your plan which I did…they we’re all over that in real-time.
Timeline
- Had problem, emailed customer support – replied back in an instant, then they never followed back up
- I upgraded my plan, they provided instant service and followed along with me while I upgraded my plan (I’m paying more now than then) — they provided excellent customer service taking payment
- Then have emailed several times at this point about not being able to post…one reply back with no follow-up — this is something they should be able to help rectify in minutes — they’re unique ability is Website Design/Hosting — no plug-ins have been installed outside of what they provided
- Now we’re talking about no follow-up over the last several days.
- Not listing the URL, because WordPress Staff can locate my account by my ID listed on this page

@chic7fdd1bc0778 Live chat is available for site owners on the Explorer and higher WordPress.com plans and email on the Starter plan and higher. Here’s more information on Live Chat availability.
Our live chat support, included in eligible plans, connects you with our Happiness Engineers to help you with any aspect of WordPress.com. This guide will show you how to reach live chat and make the most of your support experience. How to Access Live Chat Support To contact WordPress.com support via live chat, take the following steps: Visit your website’s dashboard. Click the quIf you have emailed Support, it’s best to send a single email and then be patient. When you send multiple emails to support within a short period, it pushes your request down in their queue.
Just to add to what others have said here, when posting in our community forums, yes, Staff can find your URL, but you’ll get the fastest assistance (if we volunteers can assist, if not we’ll ping forum staff) by letting us know your site’s address right at the start.
Hope that also helps.
