How Do you Handle False Spam Reports About a Blog?
-
I have recently changed my political blog from Blogspot to wordpress. Must say I like wordpress! The reason I and a dozen other bloggers have switched to wordpress is the “opposition” is deliberately ‘reporting” our blogs as spam en mass. This has resulted in mass Lock Ups of blogs that are not spam in blogspot. Unfortunately, the blogspot “review” process doesn’t seem to ever occur in a timely way, so the blogs can remain locked for weeks or longer if blogger doesn’t “get” to unlocking them. I would like to know how wordpress handles these “false” complaints? Is there a timely way in which blogs are checked first or are they just arbitrarily “locked” without recourse for the innocent blogger who does NOT have a spam blog? Thanks for your help!

I check each and every report. I have marked a couple of political blogs as Mature but these have been from the extremes. If you want to comment robustly then feel free to do so. I do not recall suspending a political blog.
As for what would we do? I’d ignore it.
And if a blog is flagged / suspended then we will always respond to an email and try to do so within a day at most.
