How do you have your picture show up next to two separate blogs on Google search
-
I would like my picture to show up next to my Google listing for BOTH my sunandstorm.wordpress.com site and my liveinpresence.wordpress.com site. How can I do that? Do I have to have 2 accounts that are separate? If so, could that be done? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is not yet possible, as the author needs to be directly linked to a Google+ profile, but we are working on it.
If you do not yet have an account with a profile photo at http://plus.google.com/ yet, I’d recommend setting one up so you’re ready to go when we are. :)

My picture does show for sunandstorm.wordpress.com, but NOT for the liveinpresence.wordpress.com site.
I am linked to a Google+ profile, but that’s one picture linked to two pages (actually I have 5 links in total for my “contributor” Google list.
I selected the sunandstorm.wordpress.com site as the primary site on WordPress “Settings,” which is why my picture is only showing up for my sunandstorminvesting.com site and not my fullyrealized.com site correct?
Thank you for your response.

Hi Mac,
I double checked the liveinpresence.wordpress.com blog and in fact the picture is showing up now which is great.
All I had to do is add the WordPress site itself as a site that I “Contribute to” on the Google “Contributor” listing. It does not show up for the other websites I have listed as Google Contributor sites or for links that are NOT WordPress sites, so clearly the picture connection is coming from WordPress.com, not from Google plus.
So the answer was simply to add the actual blog site to my list at Google plus.
Would this also work for WordPress sites that are dot.org sites or is there no way to link the picture when it’s not on your site?
Best regards,
David -
It’s definitely not coming from us, because we haven’t finished anything on our end yet, but maybe Google is just assuming the connection, which is nice. They tend to change things like quite often.
Given that, I would assume that it would work on WordPress.org sites, but as we aren’t controlling or providing anything for the connection, and I don’t have any inside knowledge to how Google is managing the connection, I can’t say for sure.

Thanks again. Interesting that they are taking your data and organizing it for their searches.

You’re welcome!
As for taking data for search results, that’s pretty much what Google does. :)

True, but the picture could have come from them actually, so it’s a combo of you and them on the listing. It’s a “leg up move” in search. ;) I suspect it’s the Google plus picture showing and they’ve associated it with your blog, BUT why is the picture not showing up next to the main site and only on the subdomain, which is my wordpress.com site if that is the case? I know you can’t respond to what they do.
Interesting also that they are focusing on author photos rather than content photos. But then again, perhaps they have no right to take the content photos from my wordpress site, because they are making money from their listings. They would be using my content photos for their commercial purposes one could say. So it would make sense if they only used the author photo of me on Google plus for this purpose as I’m sure I’ve given them permission to use it by clicking yes to one of their agreements. ; )

Just confirmed the answer by clicking on the picture itself. It opens up my Google Plus listing, so the picture is from Google and the content is from my wordpress.com site It’s a “leg up” search move. ; )

I wish I knew, Google’s a fun entity that changes little things quite frequently, though not as much as Facebook does.
