How do you hide the author's name when making a post on the blog?

I’m currently testing different layouts. On the Adventure theme, the one with the camel, it will always show my name and date posted for each post. Is there anyway to hide my name as the author?

    Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

My blog is currently displaying a different theme as I am switching layouts. I do not have custom design.

Most Themes with WordPress.com are set up with a script that detects when there are more than a single author on the site and triggers the display of the byline (author name). If you have more than one author on the site and they’ve published posts, there is no way to change this.

If you have mistakenly created multiple users on your site for yourself and published posts under each identity, the byline will appear.

Again, this is Theme specific. Some Themes show the byline no matter how many authors are on board. However, due to this same request over the years, most WordPress.com Themes do not show the byline unless there are two or more authors.

Thanks! Is there a list somewhere which shows which themes have and don’t have the bylines?

The point of displaying an author name is to differentiate the posts on an multi-author site. Regardless of the theme, and provided the theme is designed to display an author byline, bylines will only display now if there are at least two official authors who both have at least one published post in the blog. There’s a single author workaround here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/01/03/wordpress-com-changes-bylines-for-authors/

For a partial list of themes that provide author bylines and/or author profiles or not > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/
