How do you link pages to the menu?

I am using a custom theme (Hemingway Rewritten) which supposedly has a customized menu feature. I am finding, however, that I have no way of linking my pages to the menu (navigation bar) up top. The default menu offered three different tabs which all work properly. The extra tabs in the menu that I’ve created don’t work at all though — they aren’t linking to the pages that should be appearing upon clicking the link on the menu. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to pick a different them?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What actual pages are you trying to get in the menu? If you put a category page in there, it won’t show until there’s at least one post in that category, for instance.

Hi, rain coaster. Thanks for responding.

I wasn’t aware that there are different types of pages. I’m using whatever the default is (although I’m not sure what that is). The pages that I created for the first three tabs in the navigation bar (the three default tabs that came with the menu) worked just fine though — without changing any settings.

My intention was to create the “face” page for each section: Home, About, Blog, Music, Photography, and Writing. Each section would have a “face” page dedicated to explaining what that section is about. I’m just not sure how to do that beyond the default tabs provided. What am I missing?

That’s not going to work. This is what works: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/posts-on-pages/ You need to use Category pages, and not every theme allows category descriptions to show.
