How do you make the nav bar transparent
-
Hi! I either want the nav bar transparent or the same color as the logo so it blends – can someone PLEASE help me with this today I need it by 2pm…
-
Ok not by 2pm – anytime :-) I am trying to figure it out and Rockfield doesn’t seem to match any of the help I find online…

Hi there!
Could you please confirm the URL of the site you’re working on? We’ll have a look if there’s anything we can help with.
-
This is my first time using WordPress… I did my site using godaddy web editor but I am doing a site for someone else. WordPress is MUCH HARDER. I think I used the wrong template (Rockfield is for restaurants but I loved how the picture stays underneath static as you scroll). I purchased Enable but don’t know how to use it LOL.
Here is the site:

You’re doing great!
I would like to top nav bar transparent grey or the same color as the logo so it blends.
To make this change, first review the support guide here on setting your theme’s primary color settings: https://wordpress.com/support/custom-colors/#change-colors
To help you get to the setting covered in the support guide, start here:
1. Customize: https://inkwellstrategy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php
2. Click on Colors & Backgrounds – You should now see your theme’s color settings.
3. If you click on each of the colored circles, they represent a different color setting. Your navigation is green currently. Click on the green circle to then change that to a color that more closely matches your logo (so it blends like you are wanting).
Give these steps a try and let us know how it goes. If you get stuck, let us know where you get stuck so we can help you from there. :)

Like this:

-
And (sorry to have so many questions but this is so hard for me!)
How do I change the font on the nav bar? -
I changed it to grey – the top nav bar is the same color as the font if that makes sense. So if it is beige and the background is beige it is invisible font…
-
Hi there,
I see that the navigation bar’s color is beige and the menu items are grey. Is this what you’re looking to do?
-
Hi! Yes I had to change it so it was legible. On this theme the nav bar color is the font color so I had to make the logo transparent… it’s not perfectly transparent but good enough for now…
I was trying to make it beige to match the logo but it’s not possible so I made it transparent…
Thank you so much for helping me!
Now I am trying to change the font on the nav bar to a serif but cannot. I think this theme is not a good one for me. I only picked it because I liked how the pictures scrolled…
I would want the top nav bar to look like this:
Any ideas?
I appreciate ALLLL this help kinda freaking out I’d like to have this done by sunday.
My website was so easy to do on godaddy but this is NOT as easy. This is mine

Hi, I’m not totally sure I understand, but would you be looking for something along these lines?

If so, you could do it with this snippet of CSS:
header#masthead { background-color: #d9d7d8; border-width: 0 0 1px 0; border-style: solid; border-color: #9d9595; } .main-navigation a:link, .main-navigation a:visited { color: #9d9494; }Custom CSS requires the Premium plan, but it can give you much finer control over your site’s design. Here’s what we can support directly:
https://wordpress.com/support/custom-design/css-support/Or if you wanted to really change things up, you could hire a developer to make changes for you. With your tight deadline I understand that might not be an option right now, but something you could think about going forward if you’ll be upgrading the site anyway.
