How do you make the pay off?

I put a lot of time in keeping my site updated with coverage. I’ve played with the format and added some things as I discover them. My question is, how do I create the traffic and adverisements to my site? I feel like I put more time in than I am getting out. Is there some secret I don’t know yet on how to get my site out there and create more traffic?

You cannot put advertising on a WordPress.com hosted blog. It’s against the terms of service.
To answer your other questions, just do a forum search. There are dozens of threads on building traffic.
