How do you mark a post to keep it at the top of Writing helper
-
Hi, the help text with Writing helper says:
“Use an existing post as a template. Pick a post and we’ll copy the title, content, tags and categories. Recent posts are listed below. Search by title to find older posts.
*You can mark any post to keep it at the top. *”
How do you mark a post to keep it at the top?
I use a set of 6 daily posts, and as time goes by make minor modifications, but the latest post may not be the one I want as the template, and it’s difficult (or impossible) to identify the required post from the summary… so I want to mark some as my current templates – I just can’t see how.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there. If you want to stick a post to the top of your blog, you will want to make it “sticky.” Directions here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/
If you want to make it easier to discover a post within the Dashboard of your site, you can click Posts → All Posts and use the Search Posts box in the upper right-hand side of your window.
I hope this helps! Best wishes to you.

Thanks thatrobyn, but that isn’t quite what I am after.
What I am looking at is when you are creating a new post.
Walking through the steps I take…
– Choose: New Post
– Choose: Writing Helper → Copy a post.At this point I am presented with a scrollable list of recent posts, the option to search for posts and the help text which includes “You can mark any post to keep it at the top”
I have found that searching for posts doesn’t include all posts that fit the search (maybe because the post titles all have the same name?), so the other day I was presented with a list of my older posts that matched the search string, but not the most recent one that had modifications to “my template”.
It is the “You can mark any post to keep it at the top” that I am curious about, as I am assuming it refers to the Writing Helper – Copy a post rather than “Sticky” posts.
It’s not a big issue, and I can work around it, it would just be a bonus if I could mark some posts to keep them at the top so other contributors could easily find the ones to use as templates rather than the process of opening up each one to preview it/discard it/search for the correct one.
Cheers, Snowy

Hi Snowy, Thank you so much for your clarification! I’m going to look into this further with our developers to see what we can do. You are right, of course, the function doesn’t exist…but the text does :) I’ll get back to you once I have an answer. Thanks for your patience. Cheers!
