how do you place a link in a comment or in forums?

  Here it says: “allowed markup” but it does not say what the markup does. So how do you place a link in a comment or in forums?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You’ll need to use straight HTML, for example:

  <a href="http://www.google.com/">Google</a>

  Hmm. I don’t know how to use HTML. Is there a WordPress article or something that says how?

  HTML is a plain text language, so when creating a link, you would type exactly what I placed up above (replacing the Google bits of course).
