How do you post content in the side bars?
-
I just started today and am not familiar with this type of program. I have been trying to read the tutorials and help articles but I am too new to understand them.
How can I either post things in the side bars so they are not blank
OR
Deleat the side bars so that I have just one column instead of three.
Thanks in advance for help.

The sidebars are meant to accommodate widgets which serve various purposes. See this main page on widgets and sidebars and click individual links for specific information and instructions. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topic/widgets-sidebars
Text widgets can contain whatever text you wish to place in them and/or images. But posting into widgets the way we do into posts that appear on our blog’s front page is not possible. Aside from text widgets, all other widgets dimply display data, primarily entered via our dashboards.
The only way to remove sidebars and use that space in any other way is an annually renewable paid CSS editing upgrade. For that you need experience as there is no official Staff support and precious little Volunteer support and you need to do the work yourself.
If you are considering purchasing the upgrade, you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function where you can try before you buy.
