How do you put two photos side by side?

    Ok. So what I am ultimately trying to do is create a page where clicking the photo links you to the related page on my blog. So I have been inserting a photo so that I can have a caption, which is the title of the page they will go to. Then I simply insert a link for the photo to the URL of the page I want it to take someone to. My problem is, I want to continually be adding links and when I add second photo it is place below the existing one rather than side by side. How do I control the formatting of the page to put the photo where I want it? Or is there a better way to get the results I am wanting?

    The relevant part for side by side images is:

    Side by Side

    If you would like to see images appear side by side on the same line, put the images next to each other and give them both either left or right alignment. Make sure the images are small enough that they will both fit on one line, including borders and margins. Otherwise, one of the images will be bumped to the next line. If this happens, you can resize the images so that they can fit side by side.
