How do you reach the company directly re. memorializing an account
-
Can anyone help provide guidance on how to memorialize an account? My best friend passed away and there was a tweet from her account tonight. I want to make sure it isn’t hacked by someone. No one should have access to her account so it needs to be memorialized.

Hi there,
I’m sorry for your loss.
there was a tweet from her account tonight
Just to be clear, you’re posting in the support forums for the blogging platform and web hosting provider, WordPress.com. If this is regarding tweets going out from your friend’s Twitter account, please contact support at Twitter.com directly.
WordPress.com doesn’t have an option to memorialize accounts.
WordPress.com sites and accounts aren’t ever deleted due to inactivity, so if the owner of a WordPress.com site passes away, the account will remain dormant on our system, and any public sites in that account will remain publicly accessible indefinitely.
We can only turn over control of such an account to the deceased person’s next of kin. If your friend had a site here on WordPress.com, you can tell their family to follow the process at https://wordpress.com/en/support/deceased-user/ to claim ownership of the account. Note that once we turn over ownership of the account to them, they’ll be able to anything they want with it, including deleting any sites and closing the account.
