How do you remove dash from title of website?

  The title of my blog on tabs comes up with a “-” before the words. So instead of “Beth Alexander Fitness,” it says “- Beth Alexander Fitness.” It also shows up with the dash on google search results. How do I remove the dash?

  I have tried dashboard>settings>general, and the title appears as “Beth Alexander Fitness” (no dash there!)
  and dashboard>appearance>customize> (I have the luscious premium theme)> title. It also appears as “Beth Alexander Fitness” (no dash).

  I am at loss for other ways to edit it, but need to remove it from my website tab/search name! Please help!

  Hi Beth – I believe this is happening because you don’t have any front page set here:
  https://bethalexanderfitness.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  Your front page is showing your latest posts, but you also have it set for your Blog page to show your latest posts. You should either choose “Your latest posts” for your front page in Settings->Reading, or set up a page to use as your static front page.

  Aha! Thank you Eurello… that makes sense.

  I played around with it and was able to get the dash removed from my tabs by changing the settings you suggested… do you know how to change the google search results (perhaps this is something that just comes with time?)

  Also, do you know if there is a way to show my most recent posts as my home page and as my “blog.” I would love to be able to drive readers to the content through both.

  P.S. I changed it back for the time being until I can figure out how to have a blog roll on my home page and my blog page (but I know how to adjust this now.. thank you!)

  Yep, that will update eventually. Google has to crawl your site again:
  Search Engines

  Also, do you know if there is a way to show my most recent posts as my home page and as my “blog.”

  Hmm, you could add all of your posts to a “Blog” category and then set up a Category menu page for Blog:
  Category Pages

  Or you could have a static home page and use a Recent Posts widget or something to call attention to your most recent posts on your home page:
