How do you remove the Like button on Motif theme front page testimonial?

The Motif theme randomly displays two testimonials on the front page template. This is great, but it also displays a Like button on each testimonial, which doesn’t look great — even if “Show likes” and “Show sharing buttons” are unchecked on the testimonial’s Edit page.

    Hi James,

I found that on your Settings > Sharing page, the WordPress.com Likes are turned on for all posts. You can change it to per post by going to Settings > Sharing in your Dashboard. Scroll all the way down and it should be the last setting on the page. Make sure to click update when you make the necessary changes!

    Cheers!

Ah brilliant, thank you. I adjusted the setting and bingo! However, it might be worth reporting to the Motif theme designer that the testimonial boxes and pages respond differently to these Like settings.

Even with the Settings > Sharing option set to “On for all posts”, unchecking “Show likes” when editing the main page content has the desired effect (ie. the Like button disappears). I think it would be preferable if the testimonial boxes behaved the same way?

In any case, many thanks for your help.
