How do you select a free mywebsite.wordpress.com site and not paid domain?

    Hi,
    So, i am trying to simply create a free wordpress.com blog. I don’t want to buy a domain, or pay a cent. Though, when I try to select a free wordpress.com subdomain, there is no option for that, but only to purchase a domain.

    Why is this?, do we have to pay no matter what now?.

    Hi there,

    I’m not sure why it’s not working for you, but to answer your question: no, you don’t have to pay for a WordPress.com site if you don’t want to. There is also a free option.

    Please check out this site, and click on the Start with free button. Go through the whole setup, and you should be able to have your new, free WordPress.com website setup in a matter of minutes. Let me know if you run into more problems.
