How do you transfer posts from Uncategorized to a new category?

  How can I transfer posts from the “Uncategorized” Section, to a new category, or is that even possible?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi! You can certainly change the category of a post by editing the post and then selecting (or creating) the new category (be sure to uncheck uncategorized too.)

  If you have a bunch of posts you need to move categories around on, you can bulk edit those to change the category (but, you can’t bulk remove the “uncategorized” category when bulk editing.) Here’s the info on bulk editing: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/
