How do you upload photos in ‘portrait’ instead of the default ‘landscape’ mode?

When I upload my photos, they always upload in landscape style. If I have them saved as ‘portrait’ on my Mac they rotate themselves from their original ‘portrait’ style to ‘landscape’. I don’t know how to rotate them once they have been uploaded. Can anyone help?

You cannot rotate uploaded images. What you may have saved as rotated in your computer applies to viewing it, not to the file itself. WP uploads and displays the actual file, so if you want a “portrait” image, you must edit it in an image editing application to make it so, and upload that version.
