how does a new user accept an author invitation

  Hey all,

  I’m having trouble getting my mom on board as an author on my blog. I’ve invited her using the ‘invite new user’ function and she’s ‘accepted’ via the email invitation (which she does by clicking on the bubble in her email that reads ‘accepts’ and then redirects her to the wordpress homepage). However, under my admin dashboard of invites, her author status is still not confirmed; the invites dashboard still prompts me to either ‘resend’ or ‘delete’ her invitation. I can’t figure out from here how to confirm her as an author on the site. What step have we missed?

  When you say ‘redirects’ to the WordPress Homepage, does she have a WordPress Acct / Username?

  1: She can accept without creating her own blog.

  2: When someone was having problems, I got her to create an account / username then log in with her account at wordpress, keeping it open and logged in.

  3: Go back to the email and click accept again. That seemed to work.
