How does an assigned User Log In?

  I can “Invite User”. But I cannot see an area to assign a password.

  For example, if I assign a user with the “Editor” role, then the user “accepted” the invitation. What happens next? It appears the user cannot log into the website.

  On the chance you are in the correct forum, the invited user picks their own password

  I have found the answer. The complication was it appeared the assigned user needs to create a wordpress.com account first. I tested and was logged into wp.com and could not log into the blog. Hence my confusion.

  Now, I realize I would then have to go back to the invitation email to, again, “Accept” the invitation.

  It would be nice if this process is simpler because my users are not that computer-literate.
