How does one adds links to oneself in Technorati?
-
I would like to know how one links to oneself in Technorati. I do know that the more links you have, the higher Technorati rates you.
There is this site called simcooks.com which has managed this.Check out:
http://technorati.com/search/simcooks.com?sort=authority&language=en&start=10It’s a genuine site. Very professional. There are very good recipes here and the owner has won prizes too.
Definitely a site I would like to emulate! -
I link to other blog posts of my own all the time. Just go ahead and put the link in as if it were a totally different website to which you were referring. Also, I’d counsel you not to do so just to boost your Technorati juice: that can get you offed entirely, and deservedly.
Don’t, however, expect Technorati to pick them up quickly or correctly. Technorati is an efficient blog evaluation tool the way surfing is an efficient transportation. It’s very, very approximate and rather arbitrary, and we’ve got no control over that from this end. Sorry.

I do link to my own posts all the time and that is because they are related articles. I never thought of it as a way of boosting my Technorati rating, but simply a way of boosting page views.
However, these links have never been picked up by Technorati. So I thought there was another way.
Anyway. Like you said, it’s all very arbitary!
Thanks Raincoaster for the response. -
Some folks have reported that claiming your blog at Tech. gives it an edge in reporting but I don’t think that’s offical.
