How does one get [audio] to work in the blog?
-
I went ahead and tried the link and embedded it into a post on my test blog. It works great! Here is the link…
See if it works for you, Ben
All I did was type in [audio http://www.iseti.us/podcast/001ISETI20080531WhyTheNameISETI.mp3%5D into the visual editor, not the HTML editor. Maybe that is solution…use shortcodes in the visual editor?

Waitaminit. Did you click back to the Code editor between breaking the link and hitting Save and Preview? Don’t do that.

I’m using the Visual editor. Shortcodes don’t generally work in the HTML editor as far as I know. It worked just fine for me, not one problem. But since my MP3 is giving him the same error, I’m thinking perhaps it’s something systemic to his blog as well.

Yes, at this point I’m about ready to ask if his speakers are plugged in.
This post has me confused: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-does-one-get-audio-to-work-in-the-blog?replies=26#post-242506
After all, how can the code “work”? What does that mean?
Does the audio player show up at all?
Can you see and operate the audio player on this post:

If not, then maybe there’s some Flash-blocking software operating on the OP’s system.

Thank you guys so much. This is really embarassing.
It was my zone alarm firewall that was blocking the the audio from poping up. Also had to type in everything manually otherwise WP blog attaches the closing square barckets, ], to the file name thus giving a filename error.

Ah! That’s good to know. Thank you for telling us, as I’m sure you’re not the only person with this issue.
