How does one go about disabling sharing buttons globally?

Disable sharing options globally
I want site members to be able to share by email, but NOT share to social media or other outlets, and authors/editors should NOT be able to override this setting.
How do I accomplish this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

By default there are no sharing buttons. If you enabled them see here to disable them http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/

So, if all those services are “available,” they won’t necessarily appear on the posts unless I enable them– and people with Editor/Author credentials will not be able to find and enable them on specific posts?
Sorry if this seems blindingly stupid, but it’s very confusing. I’m seeing every sharing option except the only one I want to enable (email.) They all seem to be active because they are there with “connect” buttons.
How do I “UN-connect” them?

They will not appear unless you the Admin enables them

How do I “UN-connect” them?Go to Settings —–> Sharing and disable what you do not want and enable only what you do want.
