How does one update wordpress to the current 3.1 version?

  If you’re asking about thendbcatalyst.wordpress.com, you don’t need to update anything. WP handles all that site-wide.

  Also note that wp.ORG is now up to version 3.5
  What are you wanting to do besides have the latest wp software?

  wp.ORG and wp.COM are different. Most things you see online are for .ORG and don’t apply to us here on .COM—we are the testers for revisions to .org.
