How does post make it to broader wordpress.com site?
-
What factors decide which posts get shown in the categories on wordpress.com? Is it view driven, human edited, or a combination?
In April one of my posts was one of two highlighted under the Cars category. Yesterday and today I posted a story that has more hits, but is not shown.
Thanks in advance!

(Personally, I think it has something to do with the moon, the tide, the colour purple, alchemy and the oracle in Delphi- but I am not sure about the exact combination needed.)

It’s a combo of view driven and some algorithm that WP.com designed and won’t tell us. However, to be Featured Blog on one of the category/tag pages, I think you just have to use that category/tag more than anyone else.

Raincoaster — interesting! That probably works against me, since my blog talks about three things — tech PR, wine and my cars. Back in April a car post was featured on the site, and wondering how to get back there… maybe I need to watch the tags I use.
Thanks much.
