How does sub-URL redirection work for custom mappings ?

  If i buy custom domain mapping, how does the url redirection works ?

  say, will the url

  mydomain.com/newpost
  will be redirected to
  kcsomisetty.wordpress.com/newpost ?

  is my assumption correct ?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
