How does the blog referral thing work?

    On the stats page, it says that another blog site referred someone to my site. How does this work? Does it mean they made a mention of my site on theirs? Or something else?

    Hi there. Say you place a link to another site on your blog and a visitor to your blog clicks on that link to take them to the other site, the other site will get a pageview and will be able to see in their stats data that the person who visited them clicked on a link on your site to get there. That’s a referrer stat.

    It could be links someone inserted in a post or page, someone could have clicked on your username from where you left a comment on another blog, or a link to your blog showed up in their like widget when they liked one of your posts. It also shows you if people reached your blog via links on Facebook, Twitter, various feed readers, links to your blog here in the forum, etc.
