How does the media storage limit work?

  Curious as to how does the 3gb storage work. Does this mean I get 3gb a year or I just get 3gb and then once i reach that limit I won’t be able to post on my blog anymore until I upgrade my account?

  You just get three gigs total. If you don’t upload insanely huge pictures that should be plenty.

  You get 3GB total, but that’s not “just 3GB”: it’s enough for many thousands of properly sized images. For example, in my tests blog I have uploaded more than 900 images, and they’ve only taken up 6% of the available storage space.
  And even if you reach the limit it doesn’t literally mean you won’t be able to post, it means you won’t be able to upload more images or other files to your blog: text is unlimited.
