How does the World find our Blogs
-
Hello, I am new to the Blogging world. I have recently starting setting up all of the information in reference to starting my blog. I am curious, however, as to how readers will find us on the World Wide Web.
Will I have to personally advertise my blog site myself, will I have to basically rely on Members of this particular site ONLY to be my primary readers. Any suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated. I am a Writer and I am looking to get my Novella Series on the blog so that readers can purchase and download.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Whenever you post to your blog, WordPress “pings” search engines through a service called pingomatic so that they know that you have made a new post, so the minute you start posting, the search engines will know. It will take up to a few weeks typically for the search engines to index your blog, and depending on the number of searches people do and find your blog, it may take a few months before your page rank rises.
You will also want to tag and categorize your posts to help the public, and the search engines figure out what your blog is about. The FAQ’s here are full of very useful information about all aspects of blogging here at wordpress.com.
