  Hello,

  My goal is to make a website where people can register for a congress. This site should also show news topics. A friend recommended WordPress for this. I have registered a domain but haven’t installed WP on it yet, as I’m trying to learn more about WP first. So I made a free domain.
  My question now is : Can I attach a registration form to this free website, which saves the information in a database? Or should I use my purchased domain for this?

  As you know, wp.com is different from wp.org.

  We can use a contact form here, but there isn’t an automatic method of saving the information to a database:
