How does Word Press deal with scammers?

  I attempted to purchase a bundled them package from Cyber chimps via an email add, I was directed to a site named hummingbird which is on a blacklist and therefore blocked by my Bank, it was (is) obviously a scam. How does word Press themselves handle such issues, Cyber chimps appear to be one of the better theme producers in the free stage arena (my opinion) they have still to answer my email informing them of my unpleasant experience. How will word Press respond?

  Hi there. cyberchimps.com is not hosted on WordPress.com. The fact that they write themes for WordPress blogs in no way makes them affiliated with WordPress.com – anyone who knows how to can design WordPress compatible themes and sell them to self-hosted WordPress users.

  WordPress.com cannot do anything unless the site in question is hosted here, which CyberChimps is not. You can try posting in the WordPress.org forum to find out if anyone else has had problems with them, or you can report them to whoever is hosting them if you believe them to be running a scam.

  Thank you for your input into the problem as reported by myself. The site Cyber Chimps have followed up the process for the purchase of their Theme bundle, A payment processor site name (2 Check Out) is indeed blocked by Master Card. Cyber chimp also confirmed the site Hummingbird are not involved. I have resolved the issue with my Bank.

  That site registered here and hosted by WordPress.COM.
  This is not a WordPress.COM issue.
