Yes, the Mennonite/Amish historians group I run the website for decided to switch to a free WordPress.com website after our current one hosted by Bluehost was hit by malware. The folks at Bluehost helping me redirect the traffic from the old site (amishmennonitehistorians.com) to our new site (casselmanhistorians.wordpress.com) told me that the reason my redirect request didn’t work was because I needed to enter the name of the WordPress nameservers and that I should ask WordPress what the nameservers are. This is all Greek to me, but I plan to type in the nameservers you gave me and see within 72 hours if the redirect works or not. Should two or three of the nameservers you listed be enough?

Hi there,
If you want to use your domain amishmennonitehistorians.com on your WordPress.com site casselmanhistorians.wordpress.com, you need to map it, not redirect it.
Here are the instructions on how to do it:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Please note that for the mapping feature to work you’ll need to purchase one of our Plans:

If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.

fstat,
We want to redirect traffic to the new site, not map it onto our new site. Does that make sense? We are happy with the new domain name and aren’t wanting to keep the old one after a year from now. We just want a year when someone looking up amishmennonitehistorians.com gets redirected to casselmanhistorians.com

Oh, okay. Then Bluehost should help you configure the redirect. Let us know if you or Bluehost need more information.
