How has a customer been able to purchase a product at half the listed value?

Hello,
My company has a product listed at £24. We have never used coupons or discount codes on our site. However, one customer has purchased three of these products at £12 each. I can’t see any explanation how this has happened.Naturally, we have honoured the purchase and sent it out, however during these difficult times we can’t afford for this to become a regular thing.
There is no sale price, just the regular £24 which is only available for wholesale customers that we approve before allowing purchases.
If you could help me understand what has happened here, I’d really appreciate it!
