how I can the domain name into .com instead of wordpress.com (frustratinggg)

    Hi there,
    I accidentally paid for a domain name with wordpress.com in the end instead of my chosen initially .com version.

    It is already for 4 months that I am waiting for someone from the WordPress to help me solve this problem without any response.

    Please, can anyone suggest how I can the domain name into .com instead of wordpress.com for which I paid by mistake and WHICH IS free anyways!

    We would be glad to be of help, but your question is not very clear. I think you are asking for help in configuring your primary domain. This support document might help, https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#setting-the-primary-domain

    If the document doesn’t help could you please mention the domain(.com) name and the WordPress.com name, and rephrase you question.

    Hi there,

    Many thanks! My intention was to register my web-site under the name: www.(name).com and I paid an yearly subscription for it.

    But for some reason when I received the payment confirmation, it turned out that I paid for www.(name).wordpress.com – which is for free.

    4 months already passed and I can not launch my .com web-page :(
    and I am afraid the link you suggested does not help.

    Since you haven’t given the domain name, I am unable to check if the domain has been purchased by you or if it is still available for purchase. Some times the charge does go through on the card, but the purchase of the domain fails, So I am not sure what happened with your case.
    Any ways, check this page here(https://wordpress.com/my-domains) to see the domains you have purchased at WordPress.com. If it has the domain(eg :- http://www.researchista.com) you intended to purchase, then change that domain as the primary domain. If you don’t see that domain, then go here (https://wordpress.com/domains) and try to purchase the domain once again. Do pay up again if you are able to purchase the domain. We will let the staff know on the double charge and will get them to refund the domain.

    Let us know how it goes. Also do let us know on how much you paid the last time and what was the upgrade you purchased.
