How I choose to pay only by privacy?

Good morning. I’m trying to create a blog (blogdaana.com) by using WordPress and I’m having difficulty. I know I have to pay $18,00 for the name blogdaana.com and I clicked to get the privacy offered for $ 8.00 and was redirected to a page. It showed me the value of $ 26.00 related to $ 13.00 (dominiom map) + $ 5.00 (Public Dominiom) + $ 8.00 (privacy dominiom) – excuse me if I’m not all right. I do not have anymore the page open with this information). I did not want to pay $ 26.00. I just want to pay $ 8.00 for the privacy of my data plus the $18,00 for the blog’s name. What did I do wrong? I have to pay the full amount ($26,00)? Do I have to pay $5,00 for public dominion? I want the privacy. Thank you very much and excuse me if my English is not perfect.

the $26-/yr is the correct price – you are buying three different upgrades
Domain mapping $13.-, Domain registration (regular registration) $5.- and Private registration (to hide your personal details for the Domain Registration) == total $26.-/yr
All domain registrations need to have contact info that is available to anyone – private registration puts a third party between you and the public with the third party showing as the contact info not your personal info

I’m having a hard time to continuing the process. I am beginner and am trying to create a blog on Worpress. I missed the payment page to modify the blog (removing the .wordpress end by paying $ 8.00) and I think it has now been registered the name I don’t wanted. how do I return to that page to pay the full amount ($ 26.00) and get the name change, with the privacy (+$8,00)? Another question: I wanted to create my blog on wordpress.org and I think I did wrong! It seems that I created on wordpress.com. How do I change? I am very confused and lost … Thank you very much for helping me.

The domain name blogdaana.com hasn’t been registered yet. If you want to register it here at WordPress.com you will need to purchase the domain ($18/year) plus private registration ($8/year). That will be a total of $26.
However, if you want a self-hosted WordPress blog (using the software from WordPress.org), I would recommend that you wait and register your domain with the website hosting provider you choose for your site. You can learn more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org and find a hosting provider here:

Thank you very very very much! You really helped me a lot. I needed the orgpress.org. Now I’m understanding better. I will continue my efforts to create my blog. Just one thing: how can I do to cancel the blogdaanadotcom.wordpress.com that I did by mistake? -
You can delete that site at blogdaanadotcom.wordpress.com if you don’t want to keep it at all. (It’s a free site, so you’re welcome to keep it if you want.)
To delete it you can visit Tools > Delete Site in the dashboard here:
