how is add category hierarchy in categories using widget?

    i have recently created my blog…i have added category hierarchy in posts->category and added category in appearance->widget->category but still its not showing all categories with or without hierarchy….where the problem lies?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    A category won’t show up in the sidebar unless there’s at least one post assigned to it.

    Also note that categories and tags play the same roles: there’s no point in having a tag identical to a category.
