How is the fix to make the carousel optional going?

  Many of us are still waiting for the promised fix to make the carousel optional or to display descriptions and comments in the carousel view. Until this is done, one of my blogs remains stunted with half its content hard to discover by readers. If nothing else, it must be a small fix to put in an option to diable the carousel, given how much this feature has adversely affected blogs like mine.

  We weren’t promised anything. It was stated that this was the first iteration of the Carousel and there would be ugrades to it. As far as I know that’s where it remains today ie. we cannot disable it.

  Developers sometimes think that a new paradigm just takes a bit of adjustment but this is not the case with the current version of the carousel. For my purposes, it is an unnecessary overlay that hides key content behind extra non-intuitive clicks.
